I had somehow managed to break the textarea for IE! This is now fixed. Thanks to Mike Papageorge for pointing out the error. |
grin You’re absolutely right Matthew. In my case, I deliberately chose to use a photo rather than an icon as I want visitors to see my friendly (!?!?!) face. |
Take that back! You’re just jealous that we’re gorgeous! (and I say this with a perfect record of heterosexuality) |
Those folks that are running the gravatar service sure must have a lot of bandwidth to waste. How can they survive without any revenue? Does anyone know what their business model is? Are they going to charge sites to use the gravatar functionality? NOTE: This comment has been edited by its author! Additions are shown in italics, deletions with a strike-through. |
Tom Werner (Gravatar’s creator) has 1TB / month bandwidth dedicated to the project, so there shouldn’t be any problems in the immediate future Scott. |
I have been thinking about getting one of those TB/month servers. EV1servers seems to have some decent deals on them, especially if you are hosting mostly static content. It’s good to see people putting bandwidth like that to good use for the common good. :) |
Having trouble coming up with an Avatar? Try: Stor Troopers Avatar Creator (via) |
I made a silly little avatar on the Stor Troopers site. Not bad, but it shows up a bit small once it’s shrunken down on blogs. I think it’s time to get out my camera. ;-) |
Look to the left - there’s my Gravatar!
Yeah, I know, I’m an ugly f%^&!r. :-)
