Unfortunately, Apple may imagine this and decide it’s too risky. Wouldn’t want the RIAA to to think we’re not paying for some music. And imagine a Bluetooth recorder, that picks up Bluetooth audio and converts it to MP3 on the fly. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s a great idea. However, I’ve asked Mrs. Claus for a 40gig 4g iPod for Christmas this year… if the Bluetooth iPod gets launched at MacWorld in January, I’ll be wishing I’d waited until my birthday! (February). |
This is a totally crap situation isn’t it? What’s the difference between my girlfriend and I sitting in a park listening to music off my iPod or both of us listening to the same music off the hi-fi at home? There is none - well, apart from the fact that my home doesn’t have grass and trees and lakes and other “parky” stuff in it.
I don’t think that’s a problem, Bluetooth is a short-range transmission. Anyway, regardless of future iPod developments, I hope your Christmas wish is granted. The ‘pod is a great MP3 player, I wouldn’t be without one now. |
I definitely agree. Now that the iPod with video support has come out, it has sparked my interest, but honestly, I love my 3rd generation iPod. I just don’t like the idea of the clickwheel. I really want to modify it so there is the photo innards so I’d have the extra battery life and album art. I love album art. |
Me too!
I would love wireless earplugs for my ipod. One big bonus would be that I would no longer need the clutter (and extra cable) of the remote control - if there were no wires, I could just take the ipod out of my pocket and use its own controls. That would be great.
I think bluetooth uses a lot of power though, although I have noticed that Apple has now got a longer lasting battery in the newest ipods so maybe that’s not a problem.
