Your headline came up in my RSS reader and I nearly had a heart-attack. “At last!”, I thought.

Imagine the feeling of betrayal I suffered when I realised it was just a skin - talk about a sensationalist, you git!!! :-)

Anyway, I’m not too unhappy. You’re right, one of the great things about Safari is its skin. It won’t be long before I have it too. Thanks for the links.

Jeff: Where’s the fun in that? I do have a Mac, but it’s an old iMac running OS 9. As yet, I can’t afford the G5 that’s at the top of my shopping list. As soon as I get one, the world will know about it.

Ahhh well I hope you can work up the money for that G5! It will be a worthwhile purchase. As much as you style Windows to look like a Mac, it can’t beat the real thing and OS X.

By the way, I like the look of your CMS. Did you roll it yourself?

I know Jeff, I know. I have been drooling over them damn machines ever since Apple’s original announcement. I just love my toys too damn much! I will get one soon, along with the 40Gb iPod I keep promising myself.

Ahh you’ll love an iPod too. I’ve had a 15gig for a year and it’s worth every penny - I use it every day.

One personal issue I’ve noticed with the CMS, or at least your implementation here is that when I register it has no option for entering your URL. Does this mean that when I post a comment my email address would be linked to instead of a URL as it is unregistered? Is that the case? Perhaps I’m mistaken, but I didn’t want to post registered for fear of even more spam coming my way.

Jeff, well done for pointing out that missing field (in registration), not sure how that one slipped by me.

In order to allay your fears (and anyone else’s for that matter) regarding the registration process: let me assure you that email addresses submitted to this website are NOT displayed for any user, registered or otherwise (not even in an obfuscated form). I’m even reluctant to collect them, which is why they’re not requested when commenting or posting in the forums, etc.

Email addresses are requested at registration ONLY to facilitate a level of verification and to send your password. Email addresses ARE stored in the database after registration but I do not use them in any way. I do not pass them on, resell or otherwise trade in email addresses - EVER. You have my personal guarantee on this, spam is something I have strong feelings against.

I have added your URL to the database, so you should feel free to post as a registered user. Your name will by hyperlinked to your website as you’d expect.

As for the iPod - well what can I say? I just have to have one! :-)

UPDATE: I have just discovered Safarifox (via). This package has many more skinning options and is compatible with Firefox PR 1+.

That’s incredibly good, but I fail to see how exactly this theme is installed on Firefox, and is it possible to install it for 1.01. I’m new to Firefox, I think it’s the BEST and Closest to safari i’ve yet seen

I’m not sure whether it works or not with Firefox 1.01. It’s been a long time since I’ve used the Safari theme on my installation of Firefox I’m afraid.

If you all want to have mac without actually paying for a new system…just stick with windows XP and use OSX.portraitofakite.com, it is virtually OSX for Windows…works great!
