No Paul, I’m not aware of any patch. However, I have seen some sites that at least display the target URL (on mouseover) - so you get to see where you’re going before you click the link. I might be worth a little Googling! :-) |
Just wrote a patch: (see: * Movable Type URL Redirection *). PS what software is this? It seems to be interpreting my [underscore]type[underscore] as emboldening, but in a URL. |
It’s a home-grown CMS (Shapeshifter). The “emboldening” is triggered by John Gruber’s Markdown plug-in which I employ within my comments handler (see: “The Ultimate Comments Handler). The bug is probably in my implementation! :-( Great plug-in by the way! :-) |
I fully agree, and really despise this solution. Especially with MT Blacklist it is essentially redundant anyway. Are you aware of any patches or ways of turning it off?
