Wow, and I thought the 20” monitor that I just picket up was nice. Actually, the reason I got it was because I was at the Apple store and fell in love with the 30” cinema display… I realized it was time to get bigger and better than my old 15” with a max resolution of 1024x768.

Anyway, you can color me green. ;)

Wow, you’ve opened up a can of worms - or whoopass, depending on how you look at it. Good luck, man. Been saving up for a while? I’m sure you’ll be posting pictures or a description of the new setup. I’m especially curious about that monitor; watching tv and movies on there, too?

Been saving up for a while?

Oh yes. It’s taken way too long to get here, but I’m certainly going to make the most of it now that I’ve got it.

I’m sure you’ll be posting pictures or a description of the new setup.

You know me J.J. I’ll be blogging about this for a long time to come! :-)

The ACD is fscking awesome. It has completely blown me away. The physical quality of the panel (and the G5 itself) is absolutely incredible.

As for the display quality… No dead pixels. Screen is clear and bright. Font rendering is absolutely gorgeous.

I’ve tested a few DVD’s (briefly) and I am extremely impressed. There’s no ghosting, no artifacts, in fact I can’t think of a single negative thing to say about the screen. It’s absolutely perfect.

I’m going to have a lot of fun getting to know Tiger. Looks good so far - but I’ve only been up and running for a couple of hours.

I’ll keep posting as I get to know the system.

Wow. I had to start my sentence with that seeing as all other comments did as well. It is appropriate and timely: wow.

As much a PC guy I am, I can still recognize neat hardware when I see it.

That said, good to have you back! Hope things are well.

And I thought there was just one guy going over to the dark side this month… ;)

Congratulations! I hope you’ll be as happy with your Mac experience as I’ve been with mine (an older Powerbook, but a daily joy nevertheless)

Thank you Joen. Things are going very well at the moment. I hope that the same applies to yourself.

It’s certainly looking good so far. I really love this system.
