This is so scary… I have the same case, video card, keyboard/mouse… and now I know what monitor(s) I need. Very cool article and I think what you did looks great!

First of all, excuse me for my english.^) Thank you for the article, it’s great; i’d like to know what happened with your iiyamas after you’ve bought LGs? now i’m looking forward to buy LaCie Electron Blue 19” — cool expensive CRT like your iiyama, but maybe TFT is the better choice?

I work as a designer and need the precise colour match, i.e. the monitor must show exactly the color i’ve set — #585768, for example. I’ve heard TFTs have less precise colours. What can you advice me?

I can’t. I’m not a designer so I have no idea of how you’d define (or measure) “precise colours”. The LGs look great to me, but my needs are different to yours.
