Over the past week I have completely rewritten my CMS search-engine (note: the new search-engine isn't running on this website yet as there is still some work to do). Teaser: I have managed to vastly increase search performance along with adding new facilities ... (continue reading) - Optimizing RSS Delivery

Regular readers will already be aware that I have something of a "bee in my bonnet" about the bandwidth demands of RSS polling. I have made two experimental changes to the RSS feeds available from this website which will, hopefully, reduce the bandwidth ... (continue reading) - Working with Meteorological Data

I am always impressed when I see real-time data on a website. I am even more impressed when such data is used imaginatively. Thus Dunstan Orchard's panorama and weather information have long intrigued me. Out of curiosity, I investigated the possibilities ... (continue reading)
